The GREI Service aims to transform lives, financial situations and circumstances of Tongan and Pacific families to become happy and prosperous.

The GREI team delivers a professional financial service that caters and deeply understands the needs of the Tongan and Pacific people living in Aotearoa. We wear our heart on our sleeves allowing families to experience our genuine care to support them.

SIAOLA GREI was founded in 2017 by Susan Prescott Taufa. She joined SIAOLA from the bank after 15 years as a Home Loans Specialist and experience in working with Tongan and Pacific families and supporting them in their finances. SIAOLA supports families through savings and budgeting and creates a pathway towards home ownership.

Despite facing challenges presented by high interest rates and economic uncertainty, the FAL team, led by Manavahe Ata, remains dedicated to helping families achieve homeownership.

The GREI team is actively working within the community to bridge the gap between banks and the Pasifika community. Recognising the impact of bank branch closures within the community, FAL is focused on providing support and resources related to digital banking to prevent individuals from being left behind.

Ready to Rent Program

GREI continues to offer families options to manage high mortgage repayments, helping them maintain their financial stability and resilience during this challenging economic climate. Additionally, Siaola’s ongoing support for the Ready to Rent Program is demonstrated by the successful turnout at its first workshop. Ready to Rent is to educate the community about their right as tenants and how to effectively navigate landlord-tenant relationships. The program has a capacity of 20 clients per workshop.
