Vahefonua Tonga O Aotearoa Methodist Mission Charitable Trust, also known as SIAOLA, is a value and strength-based service that uses a Tongan Cultural Framework to deliver our social services to the community.
SIAOLA is built on the passion and commitment of Professional volunteers donating their time and energy to develop and implement responsive services to the community.
SIAOLA is an active member of the Methodist Alliance who are the Methodist Missions, parishes and Community based Social Services and Trusts throughout New Zealand. SIAOLA provides support for all Tongan families.
The Alliance has one vision, “a just and inclusive society in which all people flourish” in recognition of the Methodist Church of New Zealand’s 10-year plan “Let the Children Live”, which aims to eliminate child abuse, child poverty and youth suicide.
FĀMILI LELEI are value based, family centred services that focus on the three key areas of life – Sino, ‘Atamai mo e Laumalie. Our services address educational, social and health issues in a culturally competent way to build resilient safe and loving homes, whereby individuals can thrive.
